My way of Working
It is the size, the aesthetics and the dominance in appearance that make up the fascination of mountains. The bigger and higher a mountain, the more intense its effect. It is the fascination of the monumental. The existential experience on the mountain and the feeling that there is something greater than man.

This demands authentic representation. Large formats do justice to this demand. But it is not only the sheer size of a picture, but also the preservation of details that must meet this demand. A picture should exist in the near and in the far. Therefore, most of my pictures consist of up to 100 single shots in order to achieve an enormous richness of detail by connecting the single shots and to be razor-sharp in all areas of the picture, which means that pictures can be up to 5 metres in size. The claim is to depict reality as well as possible. The viewer should experience himself as part of the scenery

Finally, the Focus IS on Composition and the use of a homogeneous visual language as a stylistic device. The realisation of the visual language through digital intervention makes it possible to exert a deeper creative influence on the image and, through the processing, distances itself from the simple classic photograph of an object. The creative component through digital intervention substitutes the imaginary brush, so to speak. The image is freed from all subjective elements through abstraction and thus purified. The focus should be on the essential, on the actual.
